A PARACHUTIST who got tangled in overhead power cables escaped injury, police have confirmed.
Firefighters from Kidlington and Banbury freed the man after he got trapped just over the Northamptonshire border, near Hinton-in-the-Hedges airfield.
Staff from three emergency services worked to free the man after his harness got caught 10 metres from the ground on Saturday. A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said the man was rescued with no injuries after remaining trapped for 45 minutes.
