WORLD Cup fever will hit the country tonight as England kick off their campaign against Tunisia at 7pm.

Here are five places to watch the game in Oxford.

The One Bar on Botley Road is showing off all the competing nations’ flags for the third major tournament in a row, as it hosts keen punters throughout the tournament.

Local team Oxford City FC are also hosting all of Gareth Southgate’s team’s group games live in a club venue. Their 1882 bar is set to be a lively venue for England’s crucial opener.

For something a little less rowdy, the Bear Inn on Alfred Street will feature the game in a more traditional, peaceful setting. The low-ceilinged venue – well known for its collection of ties – has an outdoor screen and is offering punters a free drink with a burger.

Perhaps the loudest atmosphere, though, will be found at The City Arms or O’Neills.

The former, on Cowley Road, boasts 10 HD screens and a projector. You can watch the game in the garden and relax with ‘sports table service’ and a ‘secondary’ bar.

It’s also fully kitted out with World Cup décor to match the rocking atmosphere.

There’s a similar feel at Irish chain pub O’Neills. Featuring huge HD screens and bunting from all nations, the George Street bar will also be packed out as Harry Kane leads the side out.
