POPULAR historian Mary Beard is to visit Blackwell’s Bookshop.
She will be at the Broad Street store on Tuesday, June 19 as part of the store’s Philosophy in the Bookshop series of events.
Prof Beard will be in the Norrington Room from 3.15pm to 4.15pm to sign copies of her latest book, Civilisations, as well as copies of titles from her backlist.
The book is based on the nine-part TV series which has been shown on the BBC.
The series took three years to make and followed the landmark 1969 BBC series.
The signing session is free to attend.
