YOUNG football fans went head over heels for the beautiful game at Oxford United Women FC's family fun day yesterday.

To celebrate their last home game of the season against Watford Ladies, the women's team threw a party at Court Place Farm for all their friends, family and fans.

Kicking off at 9am, the day started with a tournament for girls under 14.

After that there was arts and crafts, face painting, a bouncy castle, 'football pool' and more fun besides.

Visitors also tucked into a range of hot and cold food and drinks to keep them energised.

Just before kick-off at 2pm, all the young players from the morning tournament were invited onto the pitch to perform a lap of honour, and the club also presented young players with trophies for the season.

Even at half time the fun continued as the team welcomed tournament winners and runners-up into the centre circle for more celebration and to recognise the top goal scorer and player of the tournament.

At the end of the day fans were invited to meet all the players in autograph alley.
