RAIL passengers can make use of more than 18,000 extra seats being provided on Chiltern Railway services during the May bank holiday weekend.
The rail provider has announced an extra 18,754 seats in response to planned works to the Elizabeth line, the new Crossrail line, that will affect passengers using GWR services.
As the Chiltern Railway services will be the main route to London over the weekend for Oxford passengers, it has expanded its capacity.
Chiltern Railways commercial director Eleni Jordan said: “During improvement work, we want to make sure everyone who wants to travel by rail can do so.
“This is especially important on a Bank holiday weekend. We will provide capacity for people that wish to travel with us between Oxford and London Marylebone and we’ll have extra people at our stations to help and advise.”
Most services will also stop at Wembley on May 5 for the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final.
