A BUS company has announced changes to its services over the Easter break.

Thames Travel will operate a Saturday service during Good Friday on its new ‘River Rapids’ route which takes passengers from Oxford to Henley-on-Thames, via Wallingford.

The X38 will operate every 20 to 30 minutes, stopping off at some of the county’s most visited tourism destinations during the Bank Holiday.

Thames Travel’s X2, X38, X39 and X40 will operate a Saturday service on Good Friday and a Sunday service on Easter Monday.

The X32 will run a Sunday timetable and other services will not operate on Good Friday.

A Sunday service will operate on all routes on Easter Monday.

Sister company Oxford Bus Company will operate a Saturday service on city services, Park and Ride services, the X90 coach service between Oxford and London and the airline service to Heathrow and Gatwick.

The Brookes bus will operate a Sunday service on Good Friday.

All Oxford Bus Company services will operate a Sunday service on Easter Monday.

Stagecoach in Oxfordshire has also announced changes to its bus services on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

On Good Friday Stagecoach will be running to a Saturday timetable on routes 1, 2, 3, 3A, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14/14A, 16/ 16A and gold services S1,S2, S3, S5, S8, S9 and 66. 

A Sunday service will operate on the 11, 500, B6, B9, Gold S4, X5 and Oxford Tube. 

A special service will run on the B5 in Banbury with buses departing Bridge Street at 0900, 0930 then every 15 minutes until 1700, 1730 then every 30 minutes until 1830. 

There will be no service on Good Friday on the 11, 15, 19, 20, 26, 200, 233, 488/489, 700, 800, 900, S7, B3, B4 and 6/7 (Stratford).

On Saturday, March 31, a normal Saturday service will run on all routes and on Easter Sunday, 1 April, a normal Sunday service will operate on all routes. 

On Easter Monday, April 2, a Sunday service will operate on all routes. 

Tuesday will see a return to normal service on all routes.
