THE driver of a car involved in a crash with a lorry on the A420 yesterday has died, according to Thames Valley Police.
A 51-year-old woman, who was driving a Mazda car at the time, died at the scene of the incident near Tubney.
The woman was from the Buckingham area, the force said.
The crash occurred after a Scania Topline HGV was travelling along the A420 between the A338 Frilford Roundabout and the turn-off for Tubney at about 2.15pm yesterday.
It suffered a tyre blowout and the driver lost control resulting in a collision with the oncoming Mazda.
Both sides of the road between Church Road and Abingdon Road were closed for many hours following the crash.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision on the A420 nr Tubney, Oxon. At 14:15hrs (22/3) a collision occurred between a HGV and a Mazda Car. The driver of the car passed away at the scene. Please contact 101 quoting urn 817 22/3 if you witnessed anything. #PC5400.

The Air Ambulance attended the scene at around 2.50pm.
Thames Valley Police said a 'difficult recovery' delayed the reopening of the route.
