A NEW controlled parking zone could be introduced in Iffley Fields after a 'largely positive' response from residents.
More than 150 people supported the proposals and there were just 20 objections.
It would include Argyle Street, Bedford Street, Chester Street, Daubeny Road, Fairacres Road, Parker Street, Stratford Street and Warwick Street.
Under the proposals residents, would need permits to park in those roads and two hour non-resident parking would be allowed from 8am and 6.30pm.
Those objecting had concerns over the cost of permits and also the need for a CPZ in the area
The same plans were rejected in 2009 due to lack of support.
The CPZ could be formally approved the county council's cabinet member for transport, Yvonne Constance, at County Hall at 10am on Thursday.
