A YELLOW weather warning for ice is still in place across Oxfordshire as last night's snow begins to thaw.
The Met Office is warning of icy patches on untreated surfaces until Sunday morning, making driving conditions difficult and increasing the risk of slips or falls.
Temperatures are back above freezing but Highways England is also warning drivers to take extra care on the roads.
Its team of traffic officers, inspectors, gritting and snow plough crews are continuing to work to clear motorways and other major roads.
Some rural roads, many of which were coated in several feet of snow, are still highly dangerous to drive on.
Morning! 👋

The county is beginning to recover after the extreme weather left people trapped in their homes and caused chaos on transport networks yesterday.
As of 1pm, all Oxford Bus Company services were running as normal after problems with ice this morning.
Great Western Rail services have been severely disrupted all day with trains to London Paddington delayed or cancelled.
Chiltern Railways services to London Marylebone are running but could face delays.
Ticket restrictions have been lifted meaning passengers can travel on any service on Saturday or Sunday, regardless of their booking.
