COACH driver Geoff High was stunned when his name was called out at Oxford Bus Company’s awards night.
The driver for the company’s airline service, who lives in Abingdon, landed the firm’s Star of the Year award when staff gathered to pick up accolades.
The awards evening took place last month at the Ashmolean Museum.
Mr High was picked out because he got so much positive feedback from passengers.
He said: “It was a complete surprise but an absolute honour to win Star of the Year. It’s an important job – people rely on us to get them to the airports and back, often late at night or early in the morning.”
