A TREE blocked the railway between Oxford and Banbury causing disruption to trains between the two stations.
National Rail advised that trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised yesterday.
The problems caused disruption to the Cross Country and Great Western Railway services until 7.30pm.
Cross Country customers were advised they may use the West Midlands Railway between Leamington Spa/Coventry and Birmingham.
It comes as a yellow weather warning of wind from the Met Office remained in place across much of England and Wales.
The forecaster warned that strong and gusty winds were expected to move eastwards throughout the day after Storm Eleanor battered the country earlier this week.
