AN Oxford doctor has been charged in connection with two sexual assaults.

Anandagopal Srinivasan, 26, of Sandfield Road, Headington, was charged on Wednesday with two counts of sexual assault.

The charges are in connection with an incident at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, on 6 October 2016 in which a woman reported a sexual assault and an incident at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, on 24 October 2014, in which a woman reported a sexual assault.

Police did not release details about the charge until today.

He has been bailed to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 10 October.

While on bail he is not able to enter any clinical areas within any medical premises, except for his own medical care nor is he able to practice medicine in any capacity.

Srinivasan was arrested on 6 October 2016.
