A BULGARIAN-born harpist will premiere her debut EP ‘When Light falls Asleep’ at Oxford’s O2 Academy next week in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

On Friday, September 1, Floralyn George kicks her UK tour supported by Oxford-based music charity the Yearley Trust, which supports talented young European musicians to continue their musical education outside their own country.

John Yearley from the trust said: “On first hearing Floralyn I was blown away with her singing, her playing, and her unique style. I immediately thought ‘this is a future international star’.

“I am sure that in future years those at the concerts will say ‘I was there at Floralyn’s first UK tour.’

“I am very happy to support Macmillan in return for the support that they gave me when I was suffering from cancer.”

Miss George is a 21 year-old singer/songwriter, harpist and model. Born into a family of musicians, she has been playing the harp for more than 10 years.
