YOUNGSTERS from a village primary school were delighted to receive support which will enable them to plant 22 trees.
Children from Bladon Primary School will begin planting the trees for a new community orchard during National Tree Week in late November.
The Tree Council's Orchard Windfall Fund provided cash for the first 22 trees that will be planted in the orchard.
After planting, pupils from the school will remain involved in looking after the fruit trees and monitoring their progress.
National Tree Week will run from November 25 to December 3.
It is the UK's largest tree celebration annually launching the start of the winter tree planting season.
