A MAN has been arrested following the robbery of a petrol station in Yarnton.

Police said a man walked into Fraser's Budgens store and petrol station on the A44 and demanded money from staff while holding a revolver-styled firearm.

They added during the incident at about 11pm on February 13 a staff member put cash in a drawstring bag which the robber took before he left the scene on foot.

No members of staff were hurt.

A 26-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail until March 30.
