OXFORDSHIRE’s pubs can enter a competition to be crowned the best ale house in the county.

The National Pub & Bar Awards, the celebration which decides the best public house from each county of the United Kingdom, is back for 2017.

The search to find the best pub in each of the 94 counties has now begun and Oxfordshire pubs are invited to enter.

The venues can be run by a single-site operator, part of a leased or tenanted estate or part of a managed group.

Last year, The Thatch, in High Street, Thame, was crowned the Oxfordshire’s best pub.

This year, the winners will enjoy a red carpet celebration at BAFTA on May 23.

At the awards night, the county winner will go up against 93 other pubs in the UK to be crowned the best in the country as well as other pubs in a regional competition.

From perfect service to product range, aesthetic design or environmental credentials, the 94 winners will be judged on all the aspects required to provide ultimate hospitality within the on-trade.

The entry deadline for operators is March 17. Pubs and bars can enter for free online at nationalpubandbarawards.co.uk
