A WOMAN cyclist was threatened with a screwdriver and robbed by a gang of men in Oxford last Friday.

The 27-year old had been cycling along the Eastern Bypass cycle track at around 2am when four men began cycling next to her.

They pushed her off her cycle at a mini-roundabout near the Corner House Pub in The Slade.

One of the men threatened her with the screwdriver and demanded that she give them her cycle and handbag.

The gang cycled off along The Slade. Two of them then turned into Cinnaminta Road.

Det Con Lewis Prescott-Mayling said: "There were people around at this time of night who may have seen the incident.

"I would ask that anyone who may have seen the men, or have any information, to get in touch."

Anyone with information is urged to contact DC Prescott-Mayling at Cowley police station on 0845 8 505 505, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
