A national vehicle rental company is to create about 30 jobs after investing thousands of pounds in a new site in Oxfordshire.

Reflex Vehicle Solutions has opened on a two-acre site at Milton Park, near Didcot, where it has spent £50,000 setting up a hire, distribution and storage centre.

The firm says more recruitment will take place over the coming months as it expands the business in the South of England. Managing director John Collins said: "Earlier this year we announced major expansion and recruitment plans for Reflex and we have been working hard to put these into place as soon as possible, to cope with growing demand.

"The opening of our Oxfordshire base is crucial for the growth of the business, which has a wide client base in the South and South East."

Reflex operates more than 4,500 rental vehicles for both passenger and commercial use including both cars and commercial vehicles and, as well as the company's headquarters in Stockton-on-Tees and its new Oxfordshire base, has depots in Middlesbrough, Glasgow and close to the M25 in London.

Shaun Elmstrom, the manager of the Milton Park site, added: "We chose this location because of its proximity to major routes, such as the M4 and M40. Much of Reflex's business is around the Birmingham, Bristol and London areas and Didcot is central to all of these cities."
