YOUNG writers have a final chance to take part in a competition that finishes on Monday 5, December.
The contest is being run by printing company cartridgesave.co.uk and is open to youngsters in the county aged four to 11.
They must write a short story of 200 words or less, or a poem, inspired by winter or Christmas.
The winner will pick up £1,500 for their school to buy books or writing equipment as well as £50 festive treats for themslves.
