A total of 50 firefighters tackled a blaze at an industrial unit in Eynsham yesterday afternoon.
At 5.24pm crews were called to a large fire at Oxford Monitoring Solutions, Oakfield Industrial Estate.
Overall, 50 firefighters and nine fire engines from both Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, supported by crews from Eynsham and Woodstock, were pulled in to get the fire under control.
Investigators from Oxfordshire County Council Fire & Rescue Service are now working at the scene to try to find out the cause of the fire.
Incident commander station manager Mark Ames said: “The initial crews worked extremely hard in very hot conditions to bring the fire under control and without their early intervention the fire could have very easily spread to neighbouring businesses.”
TURNOUT: 04.10 re-inspection of earlier industrial unit fire in #Eynsham. Another inspection set to be carried out later this morning.
