A thirteen-year-old boy was left "shaken" after being shoulder-barged to the ground and robbed in Oxford.

The boy, a tourist in the city, was walking along Longwall Street last Wednesday when a man pushed into him with his shoulder causing him to fall over, Thames Valley Police said.

The offender, who police said was black, in his twenties, and about 5 ft7 ins, then took the victim's phone and ran away.

The man had dark shoulder-length hair with golden highlights.

Investigating officer PC Isaac van den Eshof, from Oxford Local CID, said: “The victim in this case is a visitor to Oxford and has been left very shaken due to the incident.

"The offender’s hair is very distinctive and there may have been people around who witnessed either what happened or have seen the offender run away."
