RUNNERS of all abilities are being urged to sign up to be a British Heart Foundation racer at this year's Blenheim Palace Half Marathon and 10km event.

The race, on October 2, helps raise vital funds for the charity's life-saving research.

The BHF is currently supporting more than 1,100 research projects across the UK including a research project at the University of Oxford that looks at how doctors can better diagnose coronary heart disease, the UK's single biggest killer.

In Oxfordshire alone there are more than 18,000 people living with CHD and it is responsible for around 600 deaths each year.

Sign up today via bhf.org.uk/blenheim or call the events team on 0845 130 8663 for more.
