ORPHANED children in Kenya are set to benefit from £24,000 raised at a food charity ball partly sponsored by Palletways Oxford.

The logistics firm, part of Palletways, contributed £2,000 towards the event through buying tickets and sponsoring a table.

The Cotswold Fayre ball was held earlier this month in Wroxall, Warwickshire.

Robert Keirle, sales manager at Palletways Oxford, said: "We’re proud to have played a part in supporting Cotswold Fayre raise this fantastic amount of money for the Bala children’s centre in Kenya."

Palletways Oxford is based in Abingdon and employs 36 members of staff.

Money raised from this year’s ball will be used to fund the day-to-day running costs of the Bala children’s centre, and schools in a deprived area of South West Kenya.
