OH, well. Now that we are leaving the EU I am sure we can start dredging again and bring our streams and rivers up to the standard they used to be. The new flood relief channel will not be needed.
Why doesn’t council leader Bob Price ask the people who know best, who have worked most of their lives on the rivers? The Jubilee Channel constructed at Maidenhead now only floods areas below. If Oxford’s flood channel was built, would flooding happen to Abingdon and Wallingford?
I feel the £120m plus cost of it more than covers many years of river dredging and ditch clearing.
