EXAMS may be looming but they were not on the minds of year 13 pupils at Magdalen College School who had an afternoon of fun yesterday before term ended.

With A-Levels fast approaching the youngsters enjoyed celebrating their last day together at the Oxford school by dressing up and letting off some steam.

Pupils came dressed as Smurfs, superheroes and wild animals and there were bouncy castles placed around the school fields.

Nick Mayne, 18, said: "Today is our bouncy fun day.

"It is our last day of school and we are basically just mucking around.

"We have about six or seven bouncy castles, everyone is in costume and nobody is worried about exams or anything.

"Everyone is just messing around really."

Eleonore Besse, 18, said: "It is to commemorate our time at the school and just play around having lots of fun with the teachers.

"It is a much more relaxed environment than usual."
