Debris in Hythe Bridge Street has been removed after a tree hit a car with two people inside
Thames Valley Police said a a man and woman were inside the silver car when the tree collapsed at 3.09pm yesterday.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Mark Goddy said a 65-year-old disabled woman was stuck in the car and was removed by firefighters.
Paramedics were called and treated the pair at the scene.
The road was closed off for emergency crews to cut away the tree aand all vehicles were diverted through Frideswide Square.
Traffic is now easing through the city and the remains of the tree are being removed from Hythe Bridge Street.
