AN investigation has been launched this morning into how a police control room worker was shot in the torso during a firearms awareness course.
The man in his 50s, who has not been named, is in a stable condition in hospital after the shooting at Thames Valley Police Headquarters North at Oxford Spires Business Park in Kidlington at 12.25pm yesterday.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) arrived at the scene this morning. The IPCC said the investigation would look into how a live bullet became present at the firearms awareness course.
