An investigation has been launched after a man was rushed to hospital after being splattered with molten thermoplastic whilst line painting in Launton Road.
The unnamed worker, a subcontractor employed by Skanska, had to be rushed to hospital on Sunday, March 13, after it is understood a car hit the lining barrow and the moltne liquid onto him.
Oxfordshire County Council Highways spokesman Paul Smith said: "The injured person was taken to hospital where they received treatment. They have now been discharged and are expected to make a full recovery.
"The team involved followed the robust health and safety procedures in place. They administered first aid immediately.
"Skanska is fully investigating the incident in order to avoid any future occurrence."
A county council employee at the scene who asked not to be named said the paint on the road would be cordoned off with barriers and chipped away.
