A woman has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being involved in a collision with a coach in Hollybush Row, Oxford.

South Central Ambulance spokesman David Gallagher said an ambulance crew came across the incident involving an Oxford Coach tube at about 7.10pm.

He said the woman in her 40s was knocked off her bike and was treated by paramedics for head injuries before being taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

She was still conscious and breathing whilst she was treated and her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Hollybush Row was closed and cars were diverted along St Thomas' Street but the road has now been reopened.
