This is the dramatic moment a have-a-go hero throws himself at a knife-wielding man and wrestles him to the ground at a Rose Hill supermarket.

As shoppers queued at the checkout last night, a man pulled out a knife and threatened the cashier at the Premier Turna supermarket in The Oval.

The hero, in the red coat, leapt into action and grabbed the knifeman around the neck before tackling him to the ground.

As he wrestled him to the floor, the young man is stabbed in his right arm.

Onlookers then rush to his aid as they restrain the knifeman until police arrive.

Police confirmed, Ricky Harris, of no fixed abode, has been charged today with one count of attempted robbery, one count of Section 18 wounding with intent, one count of threatening a person with a blade in a public place and one count of racially aggravated public order.
