A JUDGE has postponed sentencing a designer clothing firm over health and safety failures that led to a four-year-old boy being crushed by a 7ft mirror.
Austen Harrison was left with massive skull injuries when the freestanding 118kg three-way mirror toppled on top of him at the Hugo Boss store in Bicester Village while his dad Simon was trying on a suit in June 2013.
Hugo Boss UK admitted breaching two health and safety rules in connection with the death of the youngster from Crawley, West Sussex at a hearing at Banbury Magistrates' Court in June this year.
But after hearing the evidence today, Judge Peter Ross postponed sentencing the firm, which had a £192.8m turnover last year.
The judge said he wanted to reflect on the the evidence before sentencing the company tomorrow afternoon.
