PART-TIME jobs are up for grabs at the new Botley Road Waitrose store, which is due to open on October 15.
More than 200 posts are being created at the former Halfords and MFI site, including sales assistants, warehouse workers, café staff and drivers.
Most have now been filled but there are some part-time roles available, according to the firm.
The 24,500 sq ft branch will include meat, fish and deli counters, a 90-seat café and a bakery with an eat-in area.
Branch manager Greg Porter was at the site to watch the building’s exterior being finished and final touches made to the roof.
Work will begin on the inside of the store from the end of this month.
Mr Porter said: “The branch is really starting to take shape now, so we’re busy preparing for the final stages of the build and recruiting our new employees.
“Our growing team of new partners include the previously unemployed, school leavers, and people from the Shaw Trust, which helps disabled and disadvantaged people find work.”
