A spate of fires started in Didcot - including one in a post box – have been linked by police.
Last Monday, between 10.30pm and 12pm, a blaze was started in a post box in Tyne Avenue and several letters damaged.
Thames Valley Police said on the same night, fires were started in three bins and one grassy area in Ladygrove Park.
A group of up to five young people were seen running away from one of the bin fires, police said.
PC Matthew Agar, from Didcot police station, said: “Over the past few months there have been a series of small arsons, mainly affecting rubbish bins and grass areas, and most have been on the Ladygrove estate.
“Fires can quickly spread and these arsons could have had serious consequences.
“We are investigating the circumstances and would like to hear from anyone with any information about these incidents or anyone who has seen them taking place as they may have information which can further our enquiries.”
