A DOG owner is appealing for help to find their pet that went missing.

Adopted rescue dog Florida bolted from a front door of her new home in Blewbury on Monday.

Owner Liz Mather had just adopted the dog from a rescue centre in Wales on Sunday afternoon.

The dog is a cross between a Jack Russell and Shih Tzu and is about 4 or 5 years old.

Ms Mather said: “She has got one dark ear and a big brown patch on her back.

“She just bolted out of the front door and then went into a big garden and we couldn’t catch her.

“We only got her on Sunday and she’s a rescue dog so she’s very scared after being stuck in a cage for a four years and not approachable.

“We have lots of volunteers looking for her, apparently last night she was spotted near East Hagbourne.

“Hopefully we can catch her.”
