HAVING read Friday’s letters pages, I wholeheartedly agree and support the comments addressed by Marilyn Hawes, CEO and founder of enoughabuseuk.com regarding the cover-up concerning child abuse in Oxfordshire.
Thames Valley Police knew it was happening as did Oxfordshire County Council yet nothing was done and all parties pleaded ignorance.
We all know Sara Thornton ran like a scalded cat when things got too hot to handle, and as for Oxfordshire County Council it does not surprise me as they, along with the Care Quality Commission, took absolutely no notice of a complaint I made against a care home in Oxfordshire under their administration.
Yes Marilyn, heads should roll but it is highly unlikely they will as both these organisations will close ranks to protect their little empires. There is nothing you or I can do about it.
They are paid by us and should start taking notice of us but I think most of them only do it to have the snobbish title “councillor” in front of their names and do not care what we think.
It’s no good complaining as the majority of the county were stupid enough to re-elect a Tory government.
No wonder the PM was smiling after the election. He probably could not believe the populace of this country were so stupid as to be taken in by him.
