Yobs who have been targeting homes in St Nicholas Road, Wallingford, for months are being sought by police.

Officers are asking the public for help to find out who is involved in the vandalism, which has seen youths throwing stones and breaking the windows of one house several times.

Pc Anthony Kirwan said: "The youths are likely to be local and someone will know who they are.

"They are committing a serious crime and will end up with a criminal record if they continue this mindless behaviour.

"I appeal to local residents to come forward and tell me who the ring-leaders are so that we can put a stop to this.

"I also appeal to parents to ensure they know where their kids are during the evenings, especially during these light and warm evenings and school holidays.

"Most parents would be horrified if their children were arrested, so please see that it doesn't come to that.

"We are increasing patrols in the area to target criminal damage and antisocial behaviour and St Nicholas Road is being regularly patrolled."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc Kirwan on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
