A MOTORCYCLIST died last night following an accident involving a 4x4 vehicle on a road between Dry Sandford and the A420, near Wootton.
The biker, who was riding a GSXR 1,000cc blue and white Suzuki motorbike, was involved in a collision with a Mitsubishi Shogun in Besselsleigh Road, about 100 metres from the A420, at about 6pm.
The motorcyclist, a man who the ambulance service believe to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Nobody else was injured in the crash.
The road between Dry Sandford and the junction with the A420 was closed for three hours last night while police investigated.
Officers have appealed for anyone who saw the accident to come forward, although witnesses were interviewed at the scene.
