POLICE appealed for witnesses after a break-in at the Harvester public house in Kidlington today.

Thieves broke in through a small side window at about 4.40am.

They smashed open a fruit machine and stole cash from inside. It is believed they left via a fire exit that leads out to the main car park.

PC Phillip Lees said: "I am hoping that someone may have witnessed the break in as the window they jemmied open overlooks Bicester Road. Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious is asked to contact me."
