POLICE stopped a planned rave on the Ridgeway above Wantage on Monday.
They were alerted to the illegal gathering shortly before 6pm by a member of the public who had spotted a group of people near Scutchamer Knob on the downs above East Hendred.
Officers found between 20 and 30 people with vehicles and sound equipment setting up a site. The ravers left the site without incident.
