WORK has started on planning this year's Oxford Mela, a free event to celebrate diversity in the city in Cowley Marsh Park on Sunday, June 17.
The morning will feature traditional sports including football, cricket, kabbadi, netball, martial arts and many more.
The afternoon will feature music and food and drumming and dancing workshops.
The event is being organised by Oxford City Council in partnership with Thames Valley Police and Oxford Brookes University.
