Sir – All the people I have spoken to feel that the £1.6 million cost of revising the Plain roundabout could have been better used.
Except for buses, all traffic going to and coming from the John Radcliffe Hospital has to use Headley Way. Difficult, but possible, a direct route from the A40 northern bypass to the hospital would be a solution.
This would cause some inconvenience to Northway residents but would ease some of the conditions the Headley Way residents suffer. The new Barton Park estate is to get access to the bypass so why not combine it with a John Radcliffe Hospital access project?
