CHILDREN enjoyed playing at Hill End Outdoor Education Centre as part of a new "Forest Tots" session.

Two-year-old Phillip McDiarmid had a great time swinging from the centre's ropes during a recent visit with his grandmother, Linda.

The activity sessions run at the Eynsham Road centre near Oxford every Tuesday during term time and offer parents and carers the chance to bring their toddlers and enjoy outdoor play opportunities.

Toddlers have had the chance to do everything from play in a 'mud kitchen' to collecting sticks, from tackling the giant hill to finding a moment of calm in the natural surroundings.

The sessions are based on the ethos of national not-for-profit group Forest School, which encourages children being free to play and following their own curiosity.
