A MAN who went missing from the John Radcliffe Hospital last night has been found safely.
John Howe, 67, went missing yesterday at about 8.15pm and was located today in Reading.
Thames Valley Police had been concerned because he went missing from the neuro ward of the Oxford hospital and may have experienced short term memory loss.
The police helicopter helped in the search in the early hours of today.
Officers searched Headington, Marston and New Marston, including the areas' parks, and found no sign of him last night.
Police spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said this morning before he was found: "We are concerned about him due to the state of health.

"We do not think he is dressed for cold weather and he may be disorientated.
"He was in the neuro ward at the hospital and may have short-term memory loss, which is why we are concerned about him."
Officers were so worried for Mr Howe's safety they have asked anyone who sees him to call the emergency number 999 rather than the usual 101 number.
