WHAT is wrong with flying a British flag in your garden?
I live in Norway where every other house has a flagpole in their garden.
In smaller houses and flats they often have small flagpoles stuck out at an angle from the balcony.
There is a list of Flag Days, such as May 17 which is the national day.
The king and queen’s birthday are among other special days when it is normal to fly the Norwegian flag on all public buildings, schools, and even nursing homes.
Many also fly the flag if a child in the family has a birthday or if someone has a 50th, 60th, 70th, etc birthday.
