THERE is a lot of coverage in the media about Jihadi John, an ISIS terrorist and calls for him to be executed. I agree with the sentiment. Sadly, this will never happen as EU rules ban capital punishment. The death penalty is the ultimate sentence.
With DNA testing and advances in forensic science, cases like Timothy Evans and James Hanratty will not happen again. Plus the added safeguard of recording interviews on tape in the presence of a solicitor. The suspects’ human rights are well protected. But what about the human rights of the rest of us? Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword. No doubt the do-gooders in this area will call me a heathen warmonger.
