WHILE I fully support the wearing of school uniforms, what I am totally disgusted with is the exceptionally high cost of it. Not for the trousers and skirts, but for the jumpers and PE kit.
Trousers and skirts can be purchased at a reasonable cost from high street retailers, but the rest of the clothes can only be purchased through the school or the school supplier because the individual schools all insist on having such ridiculous colours.
What is wrong with pupils wearing, blue, black green or red jumpers and just buying a school tie?
The Government and law say you must send your children to school; well it is high time they did something to regulate the cost of the school uniforms.
