Sir – I enjoyed the live performance of Love’s Labour Lost transmitted to the Phoenix Cinema, but I did not enjoy trying to follow the introductory presentation, distracted by people coming in late and still chattering.

You would not go on chattering during the introductory chorus of Henry V, or the overture of an opera, would you ?

The management could help by turning the lights decisively down and the sound decisively up when the transmission starts.
