OXON: Officials are now looking for a new chief constable to run Thames Valley Police.
Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Anthony Stansfeld, has opened the process to replace Sara Thornton.
Ms Thornton announced in December that she would leave the force at the end of March to become the first chairwoman of the National Police Chiefs’ Council.

Closing date for applications is Monday, March 2. Mr Stansfeld's preferred candidate will be reviewed by the Police and Crime Panel before being confirmed on Friday, March 27.
