BANBURY

  1. OLIVER COSH, 24, of Wensum Crescent, Bicester, admitted causing criminal damage totalling £324.22 to the wing mirror of a Vauxhall Vectra in Market Square, Bicester, on December 24. Fined £300, plus £324.22 compensation, £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  2. JOSHUA COOPER, 19, of Bletchingdon Road, Kirtlington, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Sheep Street, Bicester, on January 11. Fined £250, plus £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  3. JOHN AGNEW, 61, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Luther Street, Oxford, on January 9. Given 12-month conditional discharge plus victims’ surcharge of £15.
  4. GEOFFREY MANN, 70, of Church Road, Milton-under-Wychwood, admitted drinkdriving in Leyfield Road, Chipping Norton, on October 17. Had 119mg of alcohol in 100ml of urine, above the legal limit of 107mg. Twelve month driving ban, £550 fine, plus victims’ surcharge of £55 and £85 costs.
  5. CAROLINE O’CONNELL, 35, of Padbury Drive, Banbury, admitted stealing meat worth £24.70 from a Tesco store in Banbury on January 14. Was already on a 12-month conditional discharge for a similar offence on October 27. Jailed for 38 days.
  6. TONY ATTWOOD, 33, of Phipps Road, Oxford, admitted stealing alcohol and groceries worth £397.70 from Tesco in Oxford Retail Park on September 22. Also admitted going equipped for theft in Ambassador Avenue with pliers and metal scraper on January 26. Also admitted stealing three bottles of Martel brandy worth £74.97 from Co-op in London Road, Oxford, on November 17. Also admitted stealing a bottle of Jack Daniels and two bottles of vodka worth £113.47 from Co-op store in London Road, Wheatley, on January 25. Also admitted stealing two cheese slices, crisps and doughnuts worth £5.92 from Waitrose in London Road, Oxford, on January 23. Also admitted possessing cocaine in Templars Square, Cowley, on October 4. Also admitted causing criminal damage to fragrances worth £100 in Boots store at Oxford Retail Park on January 3. Jailed for six weeks, plus must pay £274.36 in compensation.
  7. RICHARD DAY, 59, of Foxburrow Lane, Crawley, near Witney, admitted assaulting a woman in Witney on January 2 and in September, November and December last year. Eighteen-month prison sentence suspended for four months with a 12-month supervision requirement. Restraining order made until further notice. Ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  8. AISHA RODRIGUEZ, 27, of Chalvey Road, Bicester, admitted using her mobile phone while driving in Boston Road, Bicester, on June 9. Fined £100, driving licence endorsed with three points and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  9. LIAM MCSHANE, 26, of Lancut Road, Witney, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Witney on October 19. Given a community order requiring him to participate in a Building Better Relationships programme for 24 days and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  10. JOSHUA TAYLOR, 23, of High Street, Witney, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Witney Market Square on August 15. Given a three-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months and a 12-month supervision order. Also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  11. PETER TAYLOR, 54, of Corn Bar, Witney, admitted assaulting a man in Witney Market Square on August 15. Community order made including a four-month curfew between 9pm and 7am during the week and 7pm and 7am at weekends. Ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  12. ANDREW GORDON, 53, of Church Road, Cholsey, near Wallingford, admitted speeding at 51mph in a 30mph limit in Wallingford Road, Cholsey, on June 7. Fined £310 and ordered to pay a £31 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.
  13. MUHAMMAD HAROON, 23, of West Street, Banbury, admitted driving on a public road, Middleton Road, Banbury, without insurance on June 14. Fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs, plus six points on his licence.
  14. KENNETH NORRIS, 24, of Merton Road, Bicester, admitted assaulting a woman and causing criminal damage to doors at Sanctuary Housing property in Ambrosden, near Bicester, on December 14. Given a community order requiring participation in a Building Better Relationships programme for 30 days. Ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  15. SCOTT ALEXANDER, 30, of no fixed address, admitted stealing £3.50 worth of cider from Iceland in Calthorpe Street, Banbury, on January 9. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  16. NEIL BAKER, 33, of Shackleton Close, Bicester, admitted stealing a multipack of Pepsi Cola worth £10.91 from Tesco in Hart Place, Bicester, on January 9. Fined £70 and ordered to pay £10.91 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  17. LEON CATON, 23, of Harlequin Way, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, at Banbury Police Station on January 7. Fined £75 plus £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  18. ADRIAN FANNON, 36, of Evenlode, Banbury, admitted failing to answer bail at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on January 21. Fined £40 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  19. PAUL HOPKINS, 39, of Bridge Street, Banbury, convicted of carrying an offensive weapon, a baseball bat, in Bridge Street, Banbury, on August 17. Given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Also ordered to participate in a Thinking Skills programme for 12 days and be supervised for 12 months. Ordered to pay an £80 fine and £250 costs.
