More than 200 people gathered at Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford for today’s Remembrance Day service.

During the service the fallen from Christ Church in two world wars were remembered, together with soldiers from the Queen’s Own Oxfordshire Hussars, and the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.

The names of soldiers from the two regiments were read out from Books of Remembrance in the Turning the Pages ceremony.

For only the second time the Books of Remembrance were brought out from the military chapel into the cathedral.

Terry Roper, chairman of the Oxford branch of the Royal Green Jackets Association, read out the names for the Ox & Bucks Light Infantry, while Major Ron Barnes read out the names for the Queen’s Own Oxfordshire Hussars.
